Units can be armed with various weapon types in Act of Aggression.
MMG/HMG/SMG/Gatling Gun[]
Medium Machine Guns/Heavy Machine Guns/Submachine Guns/Gatling Guns all fall under the same icon. These ballistic weapons are typically useful against enemy infantry at close to medium range. Their possible targets vary, but generally are only effective against infantry, very lightly armored vehicles, helicopters and aircraft.
The two icons vary slightly, with the latter having four smaller bullets as opposed to the former's three larger ones. The latter is used for any infantry that wields such weapons.

- F-35B Lightning II
- Phalanx
- Sentinel Turret
- Humvee (with GAU-19 Kit)
- Osprey (with RGS Gatling)
Sniper Rifle[]
Sniper Rifles boast pinpoint accuracy at medium to long range and are particularly effective against infantry only (the SAS can target all units and structures, barring fixed-wing aircraft).
Railgun[]
Railguns inflict heavy damage to their targets in a small area of effect. Though deadly against everything, they fire slowly, and are most effective against vehicles only.
Mortar/Artillery Gun[]
Reserved exclusively for specific artillery units, these weapons have a minimum range but can hit much further than their respective units' sight. Mortars can hit ground targets only, but some large explosions generated from Artillery Guns can damage helicopters.
Artillery Gun[]
Mortar[]
Main Gun/Autocannon/Twin Autocannon[]
Autocannons and Main Guns are large-caliber weapons mounted on various vehicles and structures. Main Guns fire slower and work best against small quantities of vehicles, whereas Autocannons are effective against many of their targets, but only in large quantities. Some Autocannons can intercept missiles, and some others leave brief spots of fire on impact.
Main Gun[]
- Abrams
- Stryker MGS
- T55AM2
- Black Eagle
- Sentinel Turret (erroneously referred to as a "Gatling Gun")
Autocannon[]
Twin Autocannon[]
ATGM/AGM[]
Anti-Tank Guided Missiles and Air-to-Ground Missiles behave similarly, dealing heavy damage to any vehicle they target. While they could damage buildings, they are not as effective. They could also be intercepted before they hit a target.
ATGM[]
- Stryker ATGM
- Puma
- Humvee
- MG Nest
- Terminator
- Valor
- Kornet
- Shershen
- Guardian (referred to as "AT-AA" and can target helicopters)
- Tigre
- Superhind
AGM[]
Grenade Launcher[]
Grenade Launchers generally lack range and damage. However, repeated hits can deal heavy damage to any target they hit, from vehicles to helicopters. They are also able to suppress enemy infantry, preventing them from moving or attacking.
- Metal Storm
- Recon UGV
- Exosoldier
- Punisher
- Stryker ICV/ACCE (with TUSK 1 Upgrade)
- Terminator (with AGS-30 uprade)
- Recon Team (with Long Range Recon Team upgrade)
- Humvee (with Mk.19 Kit)
SAM/MANPADS/AAM[]
Surface-to-Air Missiles, Man-Portable Air Defense Systems and Air-to-Air Missiles, as their names imply, specialize in taking down enemy aircraft and only target them. If their targets have countermeasures, they have a chance to go off-course and miss completely, and can also be destroyed by missile interception.
SAM[]
- Patriot
- Antey-2500
- Newa
- Sentinel Turret (erroneously referred to as "AAM", despite being ground-based)
- Pantsir
- Blazer
- MG Nest
- Fennek
- Terminator
AAM[]
MANPADS[]
Napalm/Flamethrower[]
These incendiary attacks can drive infantry from districts, dealing heavy damage to both them any type of structure, but are only moderately effective against vehicles and cannot hit air.
Napalm[]
Flamethrower[]
- Scout CGS (erroneously referred to as an Autocannon)
