Trivia[]
- As with many equipment in their arsenal, the Cartel likely recovered and weaponized the XB-70 Valkyrie. In reality, USAF gave up fighting for its production and terminated the B-70 program in 1961 when it offered no alternatives to outclass other bombers and ICBMs. The only two produced aircraft were used for supersonic test-flights during 1964–69. In 1966, one of them was destroyed after collision with a F-104 Starfighter during a formation photoshoot. The surviving prototype is in the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton, Ohio.
- In Norse mythology, a valkyrie is one of a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live.
