The advanced softwares upgrade allows Otomatics to automatically fire at enemy missiles launched at them or allies nearby, regardless if it was a ground or air type enemy that fired the missile.[1] Each missile the Otomatic fires at usually goes down within 3-4 shots.

Gameplay[]

While this upgrade is helpful for saving your units from enemies with missiles, this also comes as a problem within small squads of Otomatics engaging enemy units too, as they will fire at the missiles first as priority allowing the enemy to get more shots off on them, either have more units to support them or have two separate groups of Otomatics to make one attack enemies the others defend from missiles a little further back.

Players may also cause the Otomatics to ignore missiles by ordering them to attack another unit again, which again saves the problem of not firing at enemies but vulnerable to missiles once more until the targeted enemy was dealt with.
