Act of Aggression Wiki

Healing and Repairing are a major gameplay mechanics in Act of Aggression.

General Information[]

  • When an entity takes damage, it loses Hit Points. Upon depletion, it is destroyed. The exception is infantry, which has a chance to be incapicitated and will recover immediately if healed with a random amount of hit points restored. Healing and Repairing sources are the only ways for infantry/vehicles and buildings recover lost hit points.
    • Each faction has a specific source of Healing and Repairing for all three. Many of them are compatible between different factions and players, provided if they are on the same team.
    • Most sources of Healing and Repairing will affect damaged targets, but only one at a time. Once fully conditioned, they will randomly select the next in range. If multiple sources have the same target, their effect will stack. They tend not to target themselves, but other instances of them can affect each other.
    • If a healing source is in a transport, it will continue to heal nearby targets, or even its own transport if possible. The latter can be observed if a BREM-80U or Hercules enters an Osprey or Valor. The target just needs to be within its area of effect, meaning infantry in buildings can also be healed.
    • Aircraft summoned by Air Control Centers do not seem to benefit from Repairing. Instead, if they survive their deployment and despawn, any lost hit points are fully restored for the next summon. Helicopters, on the other hand, follow the same rules as vehicles.
  • Banks and Civilian Districts cannot be healed, as they are always considered neutral structures.

United States Army[]

  • Both the Field Hospital and Dustoffs produced by it are able to heal nearby infantry nearby.
  • The Logistical Center can repair buildings in its area of effect, and produces the Hercules for vehicle repair.

Chimera[]

  • The Namer can be upgraded to heal infantry.
  • The Metal Storm and Exosoldier can be upgraded to slowly regenerate lost hit points over time.
  • The Prison has Nanohealing and Nanorecovery. Nanohealing works like any other infantry healing source, but merely adds health, and incapacitated units are instead exclusively affected by Nanorecovery.
  • The Outpost can be converted to repair nearby vehicles and buildings. It can be upgraded further to repair faster and affect three targets at once.

Cartel[]

  • Both the Barracks (with an upgrade) and the Punisher produced by it are capable of healing neabry infantry.
  • The Repair Center produces the BREM-80U, which can repair nearby vehicles.
  • The Repair Drones upgrade, purchased from the HQ, allows all Cartel buildings to regenerate one hit point at set intervals.

Trivia[]

  • United States Army is the only faction that has all sources of healing and repairing available without Tier upgrades.
    • Without the SHIELD Protocol, Chimera is unable produce the Namer or convert an Outpost into a Repair Outpost, only having access to Prison's abilities.
    • Cartel's Repair Drones and Punisher both require Black Ops, leaving them with the BREM-80U until then.
