James T. Wittel was a general of the United States Army and Cartel member "Hermes" under the Olympus cell. His reputation and position enables him to aid the Cartel's agenda in discreet.
With Chimera discovering information regarding his treachery in the assault on the cosmodrome, Wittel makes a hasty retreat covered by Vermaak, who would, with Zhang Yao and Heliopolis Cell's assistance, destroy incriminating evidence tying Wittel to them. Chimera colonel Greg C. Schafer destroys his stronghold and later kills him in New Mexico, collapsing the Olympus Cell.
